Above-ground petroleum line

Compliance

Checks before introductions.

Brokerage in petroleum sits inside sanctions, trade controls and ordinary counterparty checks. This page describes the questions we ask. It does not claim a licence.

Who is the principal?

We ask for the company that will buy or sell, not only the person writing the email. Intermediaries should say so in the first message.

Where is the cargo going?

Destination, flag and banking path can make an otherwise ordinary product unacceptable. If that is unclear, the enquiry stops.

What documents exist?

Corporate documents are requested when a discussion becomes specific. Public templates are not treated as evidence of product.

What we will not do

We do not ask counterparties to send passports, bank tokens or fees to unknown accounts as a condition of “allocation”.
